The ∞−Laplacian first eigenvalue problem

We review some results about the first eigenvalue of the infinity Laplacian operator and its first eigenfunctions in a general norm context. Those results are obtained in collaboration with several authors: V. Ferone, P. Juutinen and B. Kawohl (see [BFK], [BK1], [BJK] and [BK2]). In section 5 we make some remarks on the simplicity of the first eigenvalue of ∆∞: this will be the object of a join...

Upper Bounds for the First Eigenvalue of the Laplacian on Compact Submanifolds

Let (M, g) be a compact Riemannian manifold isometrically immersed in a simply connected space form (euclidean space, sphere or hyperbolic space). The purpose of this paper is to give optimal upper bounds for the first nonzero eigenvalue of the Laplacian of (M, g) in terms of r-th mean curvatures and scalar curvature. As consequences, we obtain some rigidity results. In particular, we prove tha...

A note on the bounds of Laplacian-energy-like-invariant

The Laplacian-energy-like of a simple connected graph G is defined as LEL:=LEL(G)=∑_(i=1)^n√(μ_i ), Where μ_1 (G)≥μ_2 (G)≥⋯≥μ_n (G)=0 are the Laplacian eigenvalues of the graph G. Some upper and lower bounds for LEL are presented in this note. Moreover, throughout this work, some results related to lower bound of spectral radius of graph are obtained using the term of ΔG as the num...

Eigenvalue Bounds for the Signless Laplacian

We extend our previous survey of properties of spectra of signless Laplacians of graphs. Some new bounds for eigenvalues are given, and the main result concerns the graphs whose largest eigenvalue is maximal among the graphs with fixed numbers of vertices and edges. The results are presented in the context of a number of computer-generated conjectures.

the effect of taftan pozzolan on the compressive strength of concrete in the environmental conditions of oman sea (chabahar port)

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...
